He's a Cold War spy hiding from one of his own. His real identity is tied to a treacherous past associated with American intelligence operations closed down after the end of the Cold War, and his enemy is relentless. All he has to do is change his name. Right? Wrong. Very wrong. Felix has eyes and ears everywhere.
Reinhardt Brings Readers a Quick Spy Thriller. The author creates short chapters as she devotes attention to developing a character or a quick action-packed scene or offers insights into a relationship or event. It took me a bit to settle into the rapid chapter changes in this novel. Since it is a shorter book, the short chapters definitely quickened the plot's pace. The author covers a lot of ground rapidly to tell her characters' stories! While she does a great job telling a fast-paced spy thriller--some of the relationships and plot twists came up rather suddenly without a lot of lead in time!
Reinhardt is an Engaging Story for Readers. I didn't find myself attached to our main character--or really any of the characters. I still enjoyed the good vs. evil plot, the air of danger, and the suspense the pages held.
Would I Recommend Reinhardt by Marianne Scott? Reinhardt is a quick read that fans of lighter thrillers will enjoy. I can't say I loved any one part of the novel or preferred any characters over others--and it took me several chapters to settle into the storyline--but I enjoyed the rapid plot building and resolution. Fans of lighter spy novels and fast-paced thrillers will enjoy the pace and action of the book.
